Christian Country Artist Steven Paul McCollum is also the founder and director of the Center for God, Family and Country, a Non-for-Profit Christian organization. The mandate associated with this organization is summed up in one word, "Restoration". We are called to reach out to the lost with the saving grace found in Christ, be instrumental in restoring this nation's Godly Heritage, as well as restoring a much needed oneness amongst Christians while reuniting families as they were in years past.
Steven Paul is also the founder of Kansas City's newest Talent Showcase for kids. We need to always remember from whence we've come. Our Founding Father's knew that God through his sovereignty chose the United States to be the Christian Nation that would reach out with the message of God's love to the entire world. Unfortunately as many know, over the last 40-50 years some in our country have turned their backs on God. They've taken for granted His Mercy and Grace by doing everything in their power to strip this country of our Godly Heritage. George Washington warned in his "Farewell Address" that to remove religious principles would be to lose national morality. We are now seeing the accuracy of his warning. Since 1962-63 when Prayer was taken out of our schools and the movement to separate Biblical principles from public policy began, the United States has undergone dramatic statistical reversals. Sadly we have become #1 in the world in violent crime, divorce, teenage pregnancies, voluntary abortions, illegal drug use, and illiteracy (of all industrial nations, we have the highest illiteracy rate).
Steven Paul McCollum believes it's time we stand together shoulder to shoulder and fight back. He believes as the Founding Fathers did that we need God to once again become the rock and foundation this country was built upon. He believes to make a difference, it all starts with us as individuals. We must all get our lives right with God on an individual basis and then become proactive in turning this country right-side-up.
